The construction works of the affordable housing block are progressing steadily, and some of the façades are now nearly completed. The geometry of the projections, which shape the balconies, is beginning to define the building’s distinctive appearance and give it a strong identity.
This formal element is made possible by the galvanized steel substructure, installed during the early phases of construction. In addition to creating volume and rhythm on the façades, this system also provides the necessary thermal insulation, as the building will be certified under the Passive House standard.
The design of the openings also follows efficiency criteria: each window is sized in proportion to the interior use of the room it belongs to, avoiding large glazed surfaces that would result in higher energy consumption.
With this progress, the project is consolidating itself as an important contribution to the affordable housing supply, combining functionality, architectural quality, and sustainability.
