The Government of Andorra has officially awarded the contract for the drafting of the project and site supervision for the adaptation of spaces in the Hotel Rosaleda building, located in Encamp, to accommodate the new National Archive. The public tender, processed by the Ministry of Territory and Urban Planning, was awarded on July 16, 2025, to us in collaboration with architect Jacint Gil Rodríguez.
The project aims to reorganize and optimize approximately 900 m² of the building—mostly on the ground floor—adapting the spaces to meet the technical, functional, and environmental needs of a national archive. The areas to be modified include spaces currently partially occupied by the National Library, as well as others to be vacated following the relocation of the Centre de Català.
The commission includes the complete drafting of the project as well as site supervision, and involves improvements to the spatial layout, work environment quality, and design of technical installations.
We are especially pleased to be part of this project, both because of the heritage and functional value of the Rosaleda building, and due to the institutional and cultural significance the new National Archive headquarters will have for the country.
